Makaton Workshop


MAKATON  NEW  ZEALAND/AOTEAROA
New course beginning early 2012

@ Wilson Centre Conference Room 1 St Leonard's Road, Hauraki, Takapuna.


Makaton is a communication programme, especially designed to help children and adults with communication and learning difficulties to better understand our speech and develop their own communication skills.

For:  parents, family/whanau, carers and people to help children communicate in everyday situations. The workshop covers four modules over 2 five hour days.

This Workshop provides information about Makaton, signing instruction and symbols are given for Stages 1-4, plus some additional signs to use in practical ways. Makaton uses the basics of NZ Sign Language.

Cost: There is a charge of $60 which includes the Makaton Sign Manual. If there is more than one family member, e.g. Grandparent, sibling, the fee is just $60 per family.

Meditation is a simple and effective tool for achieving inner peace, clarity and focus by bringing ones awareness into the present moment.
