Helping the Trust
The Wilson Home Trust offers you a range of opportunities to volunteer your time or work with us and our partner organisations to help children and their families.
There is a variety of ways for you to help!
Individual, team and organisation volunteering:
The Trust welcomes individuals, teams of people, or other organisations interested in volunteering with us to help our community. We’re always happy to talk about the range of activities and events that would benefit from volunteer assistance.
Volunteer gardeners:
This active gardeners’ group provides a huge contribution to the beauty of the gardens. The group works every Thursday, and enjoys a morning tea in the Summer House overlooking the Hauraki Gulf.
Anyone is welcome and can join as a regular or casual, just contact us today!
Fundraising:
The Wilson Friends fundraising group helps raise funds for the children who attend the Wilson Centre and the Wilson School.
The group currently has a number of active supporters but we’ve always got room for more! Anyone interested can call Lesley Monk on 09 486 2841.
Volunteer work with one of our associated organisations:
We can also refer people on to one of the other organisations sharing our Takapuna site who work with children. These include the Wilson School and WDHB Child Disability Centre.
