The Wilson Home Trust provides discretionary grants .

Guidelines for Applicants
  • Children up to and including 21 years.
  • Residents in the top half of the North Island. 
  • Have NZ Citizenship or permanent residency and residing in NZ.
  • Equipment Grants priority given to assist with mobility and /or wellbeing.
  • Items normally funded by government will not be considered.
  • Retrospective funding may be considered (within 3 months)

How do I apply for a grant?

Applications for the grant are made using the Grant Application Form and need to include a letter of support from a therapist or professional and relevant quotes from the supplier.

What is the decision based on?

The allocation of funding for children and their families is at the Trust’s discretion, is on a case by case basis, and is generally based on the following criteria:
  • The Trust’s available budget;
  • The number of grant applications received and anticipated;
  • Previous applications made by the family/caregiver;
  • The specific needs and situation.

The Trust will either make arrangements to pay the supplier directly or reimburse the relevant person upon the Trust sighting a receipt.

General Information
  • Applicants are considered quarterly. The closing dates for each round are ... 20th February, 20th May, 20th August, 20th November.
  • Applicants will be notified shortly thereafter.
  • If sucessful the Trust prefers to pay the supplier directly using a deposit directly into their account.
  • Sometimes partial funding is offered.
  • The descision of the Grants Commitee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
